I first got my hands dirty with pottery in the fall/winter of 2023. I had just returned from a trip to Zihuatanejo, Mexico where my partner and I attended a friends photo exhibit at the beautiful beachfront compound called, MUSA (Modern Utopian Society of Adventurers). Here I met a woman named Christina and we discussed her journey from 2020 to the present quitting her job to work as an artist full-time.
This conversation, paired with the inspiration I was seemingly intoxicated with by the beauty of the place we were staying spurred me to join a pottery studio the week I returned to California.
